What's the role?

Working in Hilti’s logistics department, you will contribute to our services mission: driving customer engagement and value creation by developing and seamlessly integrating logistics solutions into the shopping journey. We are looking for someone who will take overall responsibility for logistics department not only in Poland, but also regionally, in terms of transport and local stock management.

What does the role involve?

As the role includes the leadership of 4 direct reports, we want to assure you we recognize that the team's progress (in terms of achieving results and development of competences) is a direct reflection of the leader's work. We are looking for leaders, who inspire and develop others and bring outstanding results.

In this position you will manage partnerships with transport providers (through Monthly Business Reviews, contract negotiations and tenders) and balance regional and local stock between high product availability and high capital efficiency. You will also actively support regional warehouse contract manager in discussions with warehouse service provider and lobby Polish requirements. Regional Logistics Manager is also a project owner for all logistics projects and takes final responsibility for all logistics key performance indicators (service & financial). As a member of the regional logistics leadership team, he or she is also responsible for requesting regional support in case of issues; leading compliance and audit topics. What is more, the position involves leading regional improvement projects connected with logistics flows and network optimization; obsolescence reduction and being the escalation point for sales managers and directors in case of operational issues.

What you need is:

  • master’s degree
  • fluency in English (fluency in German will be an additional advantage)
  • logistics operations experience
  • team leadership and project management experience
  • willingness to develop in Hilti's international structures (or: mobility – for future career progression)
  • readiness to travel all over Poland and abroad
  • ability to bring out the best in people
  • strategic and business thinking skills
  • high analytical and interpersonal skills
  • energy, courage and willingness to leave your comfort zone.
